During the call, you’ll be asked to share your experience as a parent or caregiver of a child with achondroplasia, including your journey with seeking treatment and using YUVIWEL.

If you’re selected as an Ambassador, we will reach out about further training and potential opportunities for you to share your story with different audiences.

Not all registrants will be selected for the Ambassador Program. If you are not selected for the Ambassador Program, there may be other opportunities for you to share your story and get involved.

What is the YUVIWEL Ambassador Program?
The YUVIWEL Ambassador Program provides opportunities for selected parents and caregivers to share their experiences raising children with achondroplasia and treating them with YUVIWEL. The goal is to share insights and perspectives with the broader achondroplasia community.
What would I do as part of the YUVIWEL Ambassador Program?
If you are selected:
  • You may be asked to participate in a 15- to 30-minute screener video call to share your story.
  • You may be asked to share your experience with achondroplasia, your child’s treatment journey, and your experience with YUVIWEL.
  • You may be asked to share your story in live or virtual settings like webinars, medical conferences, and other public speaking opportunities.
How much time is required to participate?
If you meet the eligibility criteria:
  • You will be invited for a call (15 to 30 minutes) to share your story and discuss interest in joining the Ambassador Program. If you are selected, you will also be required to complete training. Beyond that, there is no minimum time requirement to participate in the Ambassador Program.
  • If any opportunities arise for you to share your story, we will contact you and you can let us know if you are available to participate.
  • As part of the Ambassador Program, please note that you are not required to accept every opportunity that may come up.
What are the requirements to be eligible for the Ambassador Program?
You must:
  • Be living in the US.
  • Be a parent/caregiver to a child age 2+ with open growth plates who has been diagnosed with achondroplasia.
  • Be the parent/caregiver of a child currently being treated with YUVIWEL.
  • Be 18 years and older.
  • Be comfortable sharing your story in front of live and/or virtual audiences.
  • Be willing to complete trainings for compliance and public speaking.
  • Have access to the internet and a camera for virtual events.
If not selected for the Ambassador Program, what happens with my information?
Personal information will be protected and managed according to Ascendis Pharma’s Privacy Policy.

YUVIWEL is approved under accelerated approval based on an improvement in annualized growth velocity. Continued approval may be contingent upon verification and description of clinical benefit in confirmatory trials.

YUVIWEL may cause serious side effects, including risk of low blood pressure. If your child experiences a decrease in blood pressure or symptoms of low blood pressure (dizziness, feeling tired, and/or nausea) while being treated with YUVIWEL, call your child’s healthcare provider.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION

What are the possible side effects of YUVIWEL?

YUVIWEL may cause serious side effects, including risk of low blood pressure. If your child experiences a decrease in blood pressure or symptoms of low blood pressure (dizziness, feeling tired, and/or nausea) while being treated with YUVIWEL, call your child’s healthcare provider.

The most common side effects of YUVIWEL include injection site reactions (redness, itching, skin discoloration, bleeding, swelling, bruising, pain, and blistering).

Before you give YUVIWEL to your child, tell the healthcare provider about all of your child’s medical conditions, including if they:

  • have kidney problems
  • are pregnant or plan to become pregnant. It is not known if YUVIWEL will harm the unborn baby
  • are breastfeeding or plan to breastfeed. It is not known if YUVIWEL passes into breast milk

Tell the healthcare provider about all the medicines your child takes, including prescription and over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal supplements.
